LA County is the first recipient of many mobile COVID-19 Response Clinics going through Summit Bodyworks' doors. This vehicle is built on a Ford Transit chassis and should serve the purpose of saving patients time by cutting out the wait spent in a waiting room for a COVID test or vaccine. The vehicle has two separate patient bays with bench and workstation, Welch Allyn kit for vitals, and sharps container plus a shared medical grade refrigerator for vaccine storage. In the future, this vehicle will be equipped to serve purposes beyond COVID, such as medical screenings for schools or workplaces, flu shot distribution, medical service to underserved communities, and more.
