Mobile CAC Forensic Interview Unit
This unit is an exciting and unique build for our team, as we have never created a vehicle for this purpose before!
This 33' Winnebago chassis has 3 separated rooms, galley, and a lavatory on board. The unit will be used in conjunction with a Child Advocacy Center who will provide comprehensive, culturally honoring, and trauma informed services to children involved in abuse investigations on a Native American Reservation. The Winnebago chassis provides enough room for a variety of people to comfortably fit onboard; Law Enforcement personnel, Child Welfare social workers, and the Forensic Interviewer along with the victim and their non-offending family members. This Child Advocacy Center wanted to provide a space equipped to conduct forensic interviewing at virtually any location within the rural service area, with a typical RV wrap that allows the vehicle to arrive discreetly. The community identified this need a few years ago as there was a lack of local access to Child Advocacy Centers, requiring the victim and their family to drive a minimum of three hours to receive services. Having a mobile unit reduces the need for the victims and their families to travel for services, as it will be driven to safe and discreet locations close to the victims. It is always an honor for our team to create vehicles such as these that go on to serve their communities in such an impactful way!
